Rep. Reeder Visits CMSD

Representative Reeder met with Chuck Smithwick to tour the Contentnea Metropolitan Sewerage District that serves Winterville, Ayden, and Grifton last week. They discussed the current state of the District as well as the immediate and long-term struggles they are navigating. 

Rep. Reeder commented after visiting: "I'd like to thank them for all of the work they do to keep our communities running smoothly. I look forward to working with them during my term.".

Rep. Reeder voted in support of H40 to increase penalties for violent rioting and looting in North Carolina. After the vote, Rep. Reeder said: "All Americans have a constitutional right to protest safely and peacefully."

Mental Health Town Hall at ECU

Representative Reeder attended a mental health town hall at ECU last week alongside Rep. John Bell, Senator Jim Burgin, Senator Kandie Smith, Rep. Gloristine Brown, and NC Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kody Kinsley.


Rep. Reeder said after the event:

"Great listening session on mental health for Pitt County last night. It is clear that many are suffering from the effects of mental illness. The system is not always working, but there is tremendous energy and commitment to work toward solutions."

Rep. Reeder to support Pitt County School Calendar Flexibility


Representative Reeder supports the idea of a flexible school calendar for Pitt County. A Local Bill filed in the NC House has been re-introduced as a Public Bill after overwhelming support on both sides of the aisle.
