Veto Overrides

Rep. Reeder proudly joined his House colleagues in voting to override six more of Gov. Roy Cooper’s vetoes. This included legislation to expand charter schools, prohibit men from competing in women’s sports, ban gender transition surgeries for minors, block costly new home-building energy mandates, and affirm parental rights over their child’s education.

Election Integrity Bill passes in NC House

SB 747 (Election Integrity) passed on the House floor with a vote of 69-47.

Rep. Reeder said after the vote: "I was proud to vote for this common-sense legislation to further uphold election integrity and voter confidence in North Carolina."

Back to School

This week, young men and women across NC return to school. The NC General Assembly has passed numerous bills in the last several months that put parents back in control of their children's education.

Education, not indoctrination is the priority in NC schools.

Bready Bears for A Cause

Rep. Reeder had a great time making Bready Bears at Great Harvest Bread in Greenville, NC, raising money to support foster children and the Bridge Foster Ministry. Greenville Police Department Chief Sauls took the top prize, with Rep. Reeder finishing second. Always great to help support the community and children.

Speaking with Constituents

Rep. Reeder said after meeting with constituents in Ayden:

"I had a great conversation at my round table discussion this evening in Ayden. We talked about the process of passing laws, the importance of relationships in advocacy, the budget process, and the sometimes craziness in Raleigh at the General Assembly. Explaining the veto override votes and the progress on the budget. Hearing directly from constituents is a favorite of mine and the best way to learn how to represent the district."
