HB 67- Healthcare Workforce Reforms

This week my bill HB 67, Healthcare Workforce Reforms, passed both chambers. The bill is now on its way to the Governor and is awaiting his signature. This will enact healthcare workforce reforms and will improve health in NC. A big thank you to my co-sponsors for helping me with this piece of legislation!

Town of Grifton Award

This week I recieved an award from the town of Grifton for my work in the General Assembly this session. Thank you to the town of Grifton and the rest of the district for your continued support. It is an honor to be your Representative.

NC Diaper Bank Teen Leadership Program

This week I met with a group from Career Technical Leadership Academy. They came down to the General Assembly for their advocacy day and we were able to talk about ending period poverty and having resoures put in NC schools. I always enjoy seeing young people advocate! Thank you for coming down to the General Assembly!

Pitt County Fun Fact!!

In the 1890's access to the train opened Greenville up to the rest of the world, and tobacco became the town’s primary cash crop. Greenville became the largest tobacco market in eastern North Carolina. The first tobacco warehouse was built in 1891 on Ninth Street and is pictured above.
