ALBEMARLE COUNTY, VA – UPDATE 6/23/23 - Jemarcus Devonte Butler has been found and taken into custody.
On June 23, 2023, at approximately 9:45 am, the U.S. Marshals arrested 33-year-old Jemarcus Devonte Butler in the area of Union Station (50 Massachusetts Avenue NE, Washington DC). Butler was taken into custody without incident.
In addition to the outstanding felony capias for malicious wounding out of Lynchburg, Virginia, and robbery charges out of New York, Butler has been charged by Albemarle County Police with the following:
- 2nd Degree Murder (Virginia Code §18.2-32)
- Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony (Virginia Code §18.2-53.1)
- Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon (Virginia Code §18.2-308.2)
Butler is currently being held at the D.C. Central Cellblock.
