Greetings!

With vaccination totals increasing and the CDC's recently revised recommendations, USMS is providing Phase 3 Return to Competition guidance to reduce recommended restrictions on events and provide more flexibility for LMSCs and event directors to determine the appropriate approach for their region.

Though challenges remain, most areas of the country are now allowing events to held, and USMS encourages providing in-person competition opportunities for members where it has been deemed safe.

The revised return to competition guidelines, safety plan addendum, and health screening form (though this is no longer required by USMS) can be found on the COVID-19 Event Resources page, which will continue to be updated as conditions change. Please contact event services with any questions.

On a related note, details have now been published for the 2021 USMS Short Course National Championship July 21-25 in Greensboro, North Carolina. Meet entries will open Monday at 10:00 a.m. Eastern time. Precautions will be in place, including the meet being split into sessions and a cap on the number of participants in each session. Along with the Try Masters Swimming campaign July 1-31, Nationals will be a big milestone in USMS's rebound from the pandemic this summer.

We hope to see you on a pool deck soon.
