On August 30, 2024, the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors learned that the Eastern Loudoun's recycling drop-off center in Sterling must be relocated due to the upcoming construction at Park View High School. Read the full press release.
At the time of that notification, the County was actively seeking another location, but had not yet confirmed the viability of a site. However, since then, an optimal location has been identified.
Update as of October 15, 2024
The new site will be located at Claude Moore Park, on the other side of Park View High School along W Juniper Avenue. Please see the attached map.
County staff is following an aggressive schedule that anticipates opening the site in January 2025.
I will continue to share updates on the new Recycling Drop-off Center as they become available.
