May 18, 2021

Dear Valued Customer,

I am writing to update you on the network event that is impacting our facilities in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania, and Concord, North Carolina.

Thank you for understanding that we are limited as to the specific information we can share, but we can confirm that our company was a victim of a cyber attack on Wednesday, May 5, 2021.

This criminal act forced us to take our network and most of our critical business systems offline. While our backup systems were protected, it was necessary to build a new, trusted network infrastructure, inspect, and redeploy all PCs, and resurrect key systems with heightened security at every step of the process.

We are making steady progress toward a full and complete recovery. To date we have:
  • maintained a 24/7 production schedule
  • implemented a manual process that allows us to ship a small number of orders each day
  • restored email communications
  • provided most of our Sales and Customer Service professionals with refreshed PCs
  • brought our ERP system online, connecting more and more users each day

In order to provide you with information about your orders and resume processing orders normally, we must input all of the production, order and shipment activity that has transacted manually.

Inputting of those transactions began today, and we estimate it will take several days to complete. Once complete, we can then begin to fulfill back orders and begin processing new orders.

We are doing everything possible to accelerate our recovery efforts.

This disruption has been extremely frustrating for all involved, and we are very sorry that it is impacting your business. We are making every effort to get your orders to you as quickly as possible. We appreciate your continued patience as we work to recover from this criminal act.

Thank you,
Shinichi Yamashita
