March 13, 2020

Dear Community Member,

In addition to yesterday's announcement about the steps the City is taking to limit non-essential gatherings under guidance received by local, state and federal officials, City officials have decided to enact the new measures, effective immediately until Tuesday, March 31, which may extend further if deemed necessary.

  • The Yorba Linda Community Center, Field House, Travis Ranch Activity Center, and Bryant Ranch Museum are all temporary closed to the public.
  • All senior programs and Senior Club programs are cancelled through March 31; however, the Trails Senior Mobility Bus will remain in operation.
  • All recreation programs (contract classes, sports classes, teen programs, etc.) are cancelled. Participants will receive full or prorated refunds.
  • City of Yorba Linda adult sports leagues (soccer, basketball, softball) are postponed.
  • All private rental events are cancelled.
  • City parks remain open to the public, but sports leagues have been postponed.
  • Black Gold Golf Club will remain open for golf and for restaurant business.
  • City Hall remains open during normal business hours; however the lobby will be limited to 50 guests at a time.
  • The Yorba Linda Public Library will remain open at this time. All events and programs have been cancelled through March 31.

The City Council will meet at its regular meeting on Tuesday, March 17; however seating will be limited in an effort to adhere to the new guidelines issued by the California Department of Public Health for large gatherings. You may submit comments on any agenda item or on any item not on the agenda in writing via email to the City Clerk's office at  cityclerk@yorbalindaca.gov  by 5:00 p.m. on March 17. If you are among those considered most vulnerable to COVID-19, including those over the age of 60 and those with underlying health conditions, including but not limited to lung, heart, immunocompromised, diabetes, or other conditions that could interfere with your ability to fight COVID-19, please carefully consider attending this meeting in person. City Council Meetings are also available for viewing via broadcast live on Spectrum Cable Channel 3, AT&T U-Verse Channel 99, and by live  video streaming

Please keep visiting the City's website for new and updated information.
