We Are CCE of Suffolk – Here for You, Your Neighbors and Families since 1917.

We are honored to debut this video that exhibits a small window into the world of Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE).

CCE-Suffolk serves Suffolk County with our Agriculture, Marine, Community Education and 4-H Youth Development programs. We are educators, researchers, specialists, and volunteers dedicated to our mission of preserving our county's vast heritage, protecting our eco-systems, supporting families, and providing our youth opportunities for community service and research-based education in science, technology, engineering and math. (STEM)

To accomplish our mission, we collaborate with researchers, all levels of government, Cornell University, non-profits, and community groups to bring innovative programs and services to Suffolk County.

Whoever you are and whatever you do, chances are – CCE of Suffolk has a program for you. Enjoy this brief video and follow it up with a visit to our website, ccesuffolk.org and find out for yourself what we are all about!
#WhatWeDo

CCE Fisheries Team has been funded by National Fish and Wildlife Foundation to provide education and outreach to New York commercial fishermen across Long Island. The electronic vessel trip reporting (eVTR) project will help New York modernize fisheries data collection, while simplifying the process for fishermen.

CCE Marine staff will provide training and technical support to an estimated 240 active fishermen. Through outreach and training events, we will assist fishermen with how to register, use and adopt these eVTR systems. CCE will provide 50 iPads for active fishermen. To date, we have given out 29 iPads.

Play Time, Learn Time
The Community Education Program offers Play Time, Learn Time at the Farm’s Nature Explore Classroom. This is a wonderful opportunity for little ones (ages 1-5) to discover this outdoor space which allows for plenty of messy play, building and interactive art exploration as well as a music and movement area. While your little ones play nearby, our Parent Educators will be available to answer your parenting questions.

Play Time, Learn Time is free and is being offered every Monday and Thursday from 2:00-3:00 from September 27 – November 18. You are welcome to come to one or all of the available dates! Spread the word!
