Message from the Executive Director

Dear PALM Community,

As we step into November, a month traditionally focused on gratitude, I am grateful for each and every one of you. Your continued support and participation make PALM not just a center, but a community.

To enrich our members' experiences, we have organized a diverse array of activities and special events to make this month truly unforgettable, with the focal point being PALM's Annual Thanksgiving Luncheon.

4. CANCELLED: Movie Night

Saturday, November 18th, 5-7 p.m.

5. Thanksgiving Luncheon

Monday, November 20, 2023, from 11 am - 1:30 pm We have organized a special presentation, accessible both virtually and on-site at PALM, showcasing the advantages of vaccination and providing information on ways to prevent the spread of infectious diseases and more.

6. COVID Vaccination Clinic

Monday, November 20, 2023, from 11 am - 1:00 pm. We will be hosting a COVID vaccination Clinic at the Center from 11 am to 1:30 pm for your convenience. Special Announcements

Sweet Caroline's 109th Birthday Fundraiser. There's still time to make a donation and make an impact. A special thank you to everyone who attended Sweet Caroline's birthday celebration. Your presence added to the joy of the occasion!

Hall Rental Opportunities. Looking for a space for your next event? PALM has hall rental opportunities available. Inquire within for more details.

Happy Birthday November Babies! Wishing a joyful birthday to all our members celebrating this month.

November Activity Schedule and Menu. Don't forget to check out the latest activity schedule and menu options for the month. We promise a blend of nourishing meals and engaging activities!

Food Vouchers Expiration. While the Farmers Market Food Voucher program concluded on September 30th, please note that any remaining vouchers are still valid until November 30th. Don't miss the opportunity to use them before they expire.

PALM Center Closed. PALM will be closed on November 23rd and 24th in observance of the holiday. We wish everyone a joyful and safe celebration!

I'm thrilled to see how our community continues to grow, enriching the lives of all who are part of it. Thank you for making PALM the special place it is.

As we approach Veterans Day, we pause to honor and express our deepest gratitude to all the brave men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Their courage, sacrifice, and dedication to our country's freedom and safety are a source of inspiration and pride. To all our veterans, including those within the PALM community, we say a heartfelt thank you. Your service will always be remembered and appreciated.

A glimpse to the Annual Event

The annual event marking the installation of the new board president was a significant occasion for the community. President Reverend Virginia Pollard was officially inaugurated, symbolizing a new chapter of leadership. Guest speaker Dr. Kalisha Bonds Johnson provided insightful remarks that resonated with attendees, enhancing the overall experience of the gathering. Thank you to all who participated.
