Boo-Da Halloween
October is here! That means Boo-Da Halloween is just around the corner. The 17th Annual Boo-Da Halloween event is Saturday, October 26! Festivities will include various costume contests, a brand new haunted maze, and monster-ous amounts of candy.

I f you are a developer or have ever had to go through the permitting process, then you probably know Nikki Dykes. Nikki has worked with the City for seven years and currently holds the Development Coordinator position. She is the focus of our latest Employee Spotlight segment.

City Park
Construction Update
The Barr Company, Buda’s 2014 Bond Proposition 5 Contractor, continues construction and landscaping efforts at the new City Park! Thirty-six mature Monterrey Oak trees were carefully planted around the park’s circular sidewalk! These trees will create a grand-scale open air “room” to draw eyes to future events and activities at center stage!

Fee Schedule
2019 - 2020
With the new fiscal year starting on Oct. 1 for the City of Buda, we wanted to share the new fee schedule. This includes facility rental fees, park rental fees, permitting fees, etc.

Voter Registration
Deadline for Nov. 5 Election
Are you registered to vote? October 7, 2019 is the last day to register to vote for the November 5, 2019 election. You can pick up a voter registration form at the Buda Public Library!

Baylor Scott & White
Ribbon Cutting and Community Open House
The new Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Buda officially opened to the public on Saturday, Sept. 28. The full-service hospital has two upcoming events and you are invited to attend both. The hospital will have its official ribbon cutting and celebration ceremony on Tuesday, Oct. 15. Please RSVP for the ribbon cutting event (See flyer for more info). Then on Saturday, Oct. 26, they will hold a community open house.

New Hays County Voting Machines
Hays County voters will have brand new voting machines for the November 2019 elections, and residents are welcome to try them out in advance by stopping by any precinct office during regular business hours until early voting begins this fall.

We will keep this page updated and continue to post updates on our social media channels. Construction updates are also running on the monitors in the lobby of the Municipal Building.
