2022-2023 Student Conferences

Each year, Resource Training & Solutions coordinates three student conferences to engage, equip, and empower students beyond the classroom. We invite and encourage each member district in our region to participate in these very special events.

Resource Training & Solutions is excited to launch a series of programs and support to integrate career exploration and experiences within all content areas by collaborating with central Minnesota businesses, workforce centers, and our regional school districts.

We’re in the process of taking business registrations for our Teacher Externship Program for the summer of 2023. Keep an eye out for our list of businesses that will sponsor this paid experience. Job Shadow Planning Guide for Businesses

As schools are beginning to think more about providing job shadow experiences for students, Resource is collaborating with the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (MN DEED) on their Summer of Jobs Campaign to help central Minnesota Businesses plan more effectively for student experiences. Students of Excellence 2022

Resource Training & Solutions honored 122 honorees at the thirty-third Students of Excellence Awards banquet held Wednesday, April 27th at St. Cloud River’s Edge Convention Center. Over 480 attended the event including area administrators, educators, and parents of those being honored.

Young Authors Young Artist Conference

Hunger Impact Partners has teamed up with the Minnesota Department of Education to promote free summer meals for kids across the state. Hunger Impact Partners has created a mobile app to help families and kids find free meals at schools and other sites across Minnesota.

School IAQ Plan Training

MDH is offering school IAQ plan trainings in fall 2022, in-person statewide, and a webinar. This training will discuss the state’s best practices for school IAQ management plans. School staff, service providers, and others are welcome to attend. The training is free. Registration is required.

Boiler Licensing Preparation Course

This course is designed for those who want to acquire a 2nd, 1st, or Special License. Boiler licensing application/exam fee and exam dates will be discussed during the course.

Pleasantview Elementary School opening this fall

After over 50 years of use, Pleasantview Elementary School at Sauk Rapids-Rice Public Schools will step into an exciting season with a new elementary school this fall. Originally opened in 1969, the school’s design, lack of space, and other infrastructure needs led to the district seeking voter approval on a $37.1 million bond referendum in November 2019. Over 29 facilities listening sessions, 20 community conversations, three listening session results meetings, surveys, and more helped gather community feedback every step of the way. After a 71% passage, the district entered the design phase and continued seeking community input to drive the plan’s final design.
