Creating and Producing with Purpose in Uncertain and Challenging Times
August 28-October 30, 2020. Creating with Purpose: Foundations for Creating and Producing What's Next in an Uncertain World.

This program focuses on becoming a conscious creative contributor to a more kind, humane, resilient, hopeful future through your unique way. Strengthening your inner compass, being intentionally directed from your heart, and producing something tangible and actionable from it (even if you have no idea what that will be when we start). Gently moving through fears and resistances into forward motion toward something meaningful to you - while being kind to yourself as you go, and held in a safe small group with other creators. Payment plans are available to make it accessible. Contact me anytime with any questions, concerns, or anything at all.

You can't discover what you already know - to stay in the discovery process means allowing yourself the spaciousness of being in the unknown. It can be challenging when you feel fear, doubt, and contraction. And those feelings can start to shift when acknowledged and met with compassion, honesty, and a commitment to yourself to move forward anyway (Feeling the fear and doing it anyway). One of the tenants of creative emergence is turning uncertainty into discovery...
Anyone who takes creative risks as a facilitator of creative process can relate to getting mixed feedback (not all glowing) at some points. It's part of the process of experimenting with new things.

"In many shamanic societies, if you came to a medicine person complaining of being disheartened, dispirited, or depressed, they would ask one of four questions: When did you stop dancing? When did you stop singing? When did you stop being enchanted by stories? When did you stop finding comfort in the sweet territory of silence?" ~ Gabrielle Roth.

Good wisdom in this time when so many in the world are disheartened, dispirited, or depressed. Getting back to our Creative Self - dancing, singing, artwork, theater, improv, storytelling, writing, journaling, meditating, movement, reflecting, imagining, writing, visioning, mask making, body-centered practices, creating in any form - helps us navigate this world disrupted. Most urgent now...not about waiting until after the fear, pain, and chaos ends, but rather using the creative practices to help us move through it...within ourselves and with each other... full article here
Short Message
Dear all,

Amidst the chaos, unprecedented acts of creativity, courage, and kindness are also emerging everywhere. There is much pain, and also much hope and potential for positive transformation. In every emergence process, whatever is not generative and life-giving eventually emerges to the surface - to be seen, understood, and released or transformed into something more alive, humane, inter-connected, and life-giving. The old foundations and structures can no longer contain what is emerging in our world right now - there is no going back - and the new ones have no yet emerged and many are unsure what that means for them. we are all in the space in between. In order to live in a more humane, just, life-giving word, huge change has to happen..and IS happening...and we can step out to play our unique part in contributing to a more generative what's next.

Our uniqueness, I believe, is our greatest gift to the world...because it is impossible for the world to otherwise experience that particular expression. In this time of great change, when there are so many restrictions, please stay true to your unique Creative one can every take that away from you...and there are those who will benefit from what only you can share.

I think of it as taking the powerful creative ocean we have inside of us, and structuring it into drinkable water - structuring our alive creative energy into practical and purposeful application in your own work and lives, and the lives of those who need what you have to give. If that speaks to you and you have the time in your schedule, please consider joining us the the Creating with Purpose Program.
