This month, we’ll hear from representatives of the Washington County Department of Social Services regarding foster care needs and benefits access, including implications for our community from recent legislation. Join us for lunch and fellowship along with the presentation. Thank you to Zion UCC for hosting and providing food (a free will offering basket will be out for donations toward the meal). RSVP requested by Fri., June 12 at noon so we can get a count for lunch and other activities.

David Briggs - Organ Concert

FIRST Response to Alleged Child Maltreatment training

The Washington County Department of Social Services is offering FIRST Response Training. The WCDSS Child Welfare Division in partnership with the Zero Abuse Project, provides this training so individuals can better respond to potential child abuse or neglect as mandated reporters.Training Content: This half-day training goes beyond recognizing types of maltreatment. It combines lectures and practicums to give participants tools and practical skills for better communication with a child during the initial report of maltreatment. Sign up form.
