Open now through August 9   

Online enrollment and registration for returning students is available from June 27 - August 9 at 4:00 p.m. Our Student Information System (SIS) is open for the PRIMARY HOUSEHOLD parents to update their information, submit new information, complete health information, renew bus rider requests, and register student driver vehicles.

**PROOF OF RESIDENCE DOCUMENTS**
Proof of Residence documents will need to be provided by all households again this year. These can be emailed to the district registrar at acochran@hallsville.org or FAXED to 573-696- 1605.

Proof of residence in our district: 2 items- utility bill in your name (showing name and address), apartment lease, bill of sale/ mortgage document, county property tax statement (personal or real estate), or notarized letter from the homeowner stating that you are living within their household and that there are no bills in your name (stating names, address, date and signed by homeowner, include one of their utility bills).

**Important information about your email**
Yahoo and Hotmail email addresses are not always compatible with SIS when sending mass emails to parents. When registering this year, please keep this in mind. If you have another email to use besides a Yahoo or Hotmail account, it is recommended to update this in order to receive messaging from the school.
New Student Registration
August 1-2, West Gym Lobby

New families to the District should come to the Registrar's office on:

1:00 pm to 7:00 pm, West Gym Lobby
Computer Lab available for online registration.

9:00 am to 4:00 pm, West Gym Lobby.
Computer Lab available for online registration.

No student may attend until the full enrollment process is completed and the district has the following on file:
  • Student immunization records reviewed by our nursing staff.
  • Birth Certificate.
  • Proof of residence in our district: 2 items- utility bill in your name (showing name and address), apartment lease, bill of sale/ mortgage document, county property tax statement (personal or real estate), or notarized letter from the homeowner stating that you are living within their household and that there are no bills in your name (stating names, address, date and signed by homeowner, include one of their utility bills)
  • Student records from their previous school indicating attendance, discipline and any special needs (IEP, 504 plan, etc.).
  • We must receive an official transcript from the transferring school before the HS student can set up a schedule and attend. High School student records must be evaluated by our Counseling Office staff and comparable courses will be assigned when possible. Be advised that not all courses may be available on transfer. 
  • Please be sure to bring custody documents for us to make copies for our files, if there any custody issues for the students.

Back-to-School Bash
Saturday, August 3

Bring your Hallsville students and get your school supplies at the annual Back-to-School Bash on Saturday, August 3 from 4-6:30 p.m . at the Hallsville Fairgrounds. Many thanks to the Hallsville Inter-church Council for sponsoring and organizing the event for our children! 

Children must be present for supplies. Parents whose children are unable to attend will be served beginning at 6:00 p.m. More information can be found on Peachjar .

Primary School (K-1): Meet the Teacher Night

Intermediate School (2-5): Meet the Teacher Night

6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. 
Second grade and new family orientation: 6:00 p.m. Intermediate Commons

Middle School (6-8): Orientation and Meet the Teacher
6th Grade Orientation: Thursday, August 8
6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.  
Please meet in the West Gym at 6:00 p.m.  

7th & 8th Grade Meet the Teacher: Monday, August 12
5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. 

High School (9-12): Schedule Pick-Up
High School students can pick up their schedules, pay for permit parking, pick up yearbooks, and pay outstanding fines on the following days:

Juniors and Seniors: Tuesday, August 6
9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. 

Freshman and Sophomores: Wednesday, August 7
9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.  

If you are unable to attend schedule pickup on August 6 and 7, please email Kellie Austene at kaustene@hallsville.org to schedule an appointment.

It's hard to believe it's already time to think about going back to school! Building supply lists are available below and can be found online here .   

Immunization Records
8th & 12th graders

If you have a child entering 8th or 12th grade, there are immunization requirements that must be met before school starts on Thursday, August 15.  

Please be sure to double check your email for a letter that was sent by Nurse Casey Brown only to the parent(s) of students still missing these vaccines.  

Your child may not attend school or participate in athletics until the required documentation is received. Please feel free to contact Casey Brown, our school nurse, at  cbrown@hallsville.org  with any questions.

July Meeting Recap and Highlights

The Board of Education held their regular session meeting on Monday, July 15. Highlights from the meeting can be found here . Items discussed and on the agenda included the 2019-2020 school lunch prices, Comprehensive School Improvement Plan, and bond construction. 

Board of Education meeting agendas are available on the school district website by date. The next regular session meeting is Monday, August 19, at 6:00 p.m.
