Beginning Pottery with Chad Johnson: Evening

Beginning students will learn how to center a ball of clay and shape it into various objects. Students with previous experience will learn techniques to make more complicated forms and hone in their skills.
Beginning Pottery with Cheryl Bess: Daytime

Tue Sep 10th 10:00am - 12:00pm

Classes will consist of 4 sessions. The first 3 consecutive sessions will consist of working on the potter’s wheel and hand building methods including slab, coil, pinch and modeling. During the last session students will be glazing their own work.

Comedy Hour with The Royal Oak Players
Join The Royal Oak Players for a night of Comedy! Cost is $5 and proceeds go to benefit future Royal Oak Player Productions.

Dance The Salsa with Nellie
Join Nellie Hicks for this 4-week class and learn to "Salsa". Not only is it fun to learn, it is amazing exercise! Don't worry if you don't have a dance partner, come and have a great time learning to dance. Cost is $10 per lesson, please bring cash or check! Click here to RSVP
Junior Appalachian Musicians Begins
Monday Sept 16th 4:00pm - 6:00pm

Austin Tate will be visiting area schools to perform, answer questions and pass out registration forms. HendersonJAM is open to 4-8 grade students. Mountain Lynx will provide transportation from school to The Henderson. Parent will pick up students at The Henderson at 6:00. This year we will offer Fiddle, Guitar, Banjo, Upright Bass, AND Mandolin! We also have string band instruction for the more advanced students. Contact us to find out more!

Once you take a formal workshop you are free to sign up for "Open Studio" which is offered to those that are comfortable in the shop to work on their own projects on their own time.

Cost for Workshops are $45 for all supplies. (You have an instructor for workshops, and on your own for "Open Studio")

Cost for "Open Studio" is $35 for all supplies and you can pay when you arrive.
Barn Quilt Painting Workshop

Join Tracy Thompson for a Barn Quilt Workshop that will give you an early start on Christmas gifts for your friends and family, or a treat for yourself!
