Start your morning with a warm cup of coffee or hot chocolate, and then lend a helping hand to improve the quality of our natural areas by cutting and removing invasive brush. Gloves and tools will be provided, and volunteers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. This event is free, but registration is required. | |

St. James Farm Forest Preserve: A History

Join us for a presentation by Kevin Davis, the Grandson of St. James Farm Manager Frank Schlick, who will share the history of the farm his family worked on. St James Farm Forest Preserve has a long and
rich history in DuPage County that stretches back over 180 years.
This lecture will offer a personal and intimate overview and photographic history of the farm that includes its art, architecture and a history of the Chauncey and Brooks McCormick family from the perspective of someone who grew up on the farm. Since 2003 Davis has been a Volunteer Lead Researcher and Interpreter for the St. James Farm Forest Preserve part of the DuPage County Forest Preserve District.

The DuPage County Recorder's Office is excited to offer local businesses and our veterans a service known as the Honor Rewards Program. Veterans can sign up in our office or online to receive an Honor Rewards lD Card. This card qualifies them to receive discounts and incentives at participating businesses throughout our community. By joining the growing list of Honor Rewards Businesses, you will have an opportunity to show your thanks and appreciation to our veterans. It is easy to join and what your business offers is up to you. Percentage off discount, specific dollar amount or some other incentive. You decide. Once you sign up, your business name will be listed on the DuPage County Recorders website - Honor Rewards Program page. Also, businesses are mentioned in email blasts to our current Honor Rewards members.
