Conway Bate
Director, Client and Partner Group, KKR
Conway Bate (New York) joined KKR in 2011 and is a Director in the Client and Partner Group, focused on working with family offices, high net worth individuals, leading private wealth platforms, and registered investment advisors. Ms. Bate joined KKR from Aksia LLC, where she advised institutional investors on hedge fund investing. Prior to that, she was with Morgan Stanley where she was responsible for hedge fund and private equity fund capital raising activities across the private wealth division of Morgan Stanley. She holds a B.A. from Colgate University. Ms. Bate is involved with Student Sponsor Partners and currently serves as the Vice President of the Convent of the Sacred Heart Alumnae Board.
Michelle Davidson
Managing Director, TorreyCove Capital Partners
Michelle Davidson, CAIA, manages TorreyCove Capital Partner’s client advisory activities and is a member of the Firm’s Board of Directors and Executive and Investment Committees. She has 30 years of financial services experience, with the last 26 years focused exclusively on private equity. Prior to founding TorreyCove, Ms. Davidson was a Managing Director at PCG Asset Management, LLC. During her 12-year tenure she was strategically involved in the construction of CalPERS’s first private equity program, including both partnership and direct investments. She also represented PCG Asset Management on the Private Equity Steering Committee for the UN Principles for Responsible Investment. Ms. Davidson was a consultant at a subsidiary of Deloitte & Touche, and spent six years at State Street Corp. where she developed and managed the consulting unit of The PrivateEdge Group. Earlier in her career, she worked for a regional accounting firm and was also involved in the pricing, hedging and trading of mortgage-backed securities. She has extensive experience in all aspects of private equity investment, including portfolio management, legal terms expertise and strategic program development, and sits on various partnership advisory committees. Ms. Davidson is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from San Diego State University, where she graduated with honors, and also studied chemical engineering and economics at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Ms. Davidson is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst.
Meghna Desai
Director of Investments, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital
Meghna Desai is a Director of Investments at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and is primarily responsible for the hospital's Private Markets’ investments. Prior to joining NYP in 2017, Meghna was the Head of Private Markets & Credit at the New Jersey Division of Investment, where she led investments and asset management of a $15 billion private equity and credit portfolio and a $8 billion real asset portfolio. Prior to 2012, Meghna held multiple roles at ETF trading and equity research firms. Meghna graduated from New York University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry, magna cum laude. She received her CFA in 2011.
Jessica Hoffman Brennan
Managing Director and Partner, The Carlyle Group
Jessica Hoffman Brennan is a Managing Director and Partner at the Carlyle Group. Jessica is responsible for investor relations and business development in the northeastern United States and works with many of the firm’s investors, including sovereign wealth funds, public pension funds, insurance companies, ultra-high net worth family offices and several separate accounts. Previously Ms. Brennan was a Managing Director in the Credit Suisse Private Fund Group in New York. Over her 20-year career she has worked on hundreds of different alternative investment vehicles and programs, including: private equity/buyout, growth equity and venture capital; alternative credit/senior, mezzanine, distressed and ABS; real assets/real estate, infrastructure and energy; liquid alternatives; and secondaries, coinvest, customized separate or strategic accounts. Ms. Brennan joined Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette in 1999 from Deutsche Bank's Private Equity Group. She holds an M.B.A. in finance from The Wharton School, The University of Pennsylvania and an A.B. degree in economics and literature from the University of Michigan. Ms. Brennan is on the Women’s Leadership Board of Women and Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School. She serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council of the University of Michigan’s Literature Science & the Arts College. She is also a board member of I-WIN, the Insurance-Women’s Investment Network; a founding member of Plum Alley, a women’s angel/VC investor network focused on social impact investing; and a member of the NY Women’s Forum

Kristin Mott
Managing Director, Seamax Capital Partners
Kristin is a fifteen year veteran in the alternatives space. She currently heads up investor relations and marketing for Seamax Capital, a shipping dedicated asset management firm. She has spent her career working with institutional investors across hedge fund, PE, credit and hybrid investments more recently focused in liquid and illiquid real asset strategies. She has been a long-time supporter of 100 Women in Finance having served as a past Gala Chair and member of the 10th Anniversary, Education Celebration and Branding committees. She currently serves on the 100 Women Advisory Council working on technology and the Senior Women in PE initiative. She is a frequent speaker at industry events and was recognized with the Excellence in Private Equity Award from Markets Media. She is a wife and busy mother to two girls and is an elected member of the town council (RTM) in Westport, CT.
