Historic Oberlin Cemetery

Many of you probably Oberlin Cemetarydon't know that there is a 146 year old, 3 acre historic African American cemetery located behind the Interact (formerly YWCA) building on Oberlin Rd. Art Treasures Near University Park

Located just south of Hillsborough Street in Pullen Park, Pullen Arts Center is an educational and recreational facility that offers classes and workshops for adults and teens. A variety of art classes and camps for young children ages 6 and up are also offered.

There are studios and instruction for pottery, painting and drawing, jewelry, glass, bookmaking, printmaking, and fiber arts including weaving.

History of the University Park Homeowner's Association

In 1982 the residents living in what we now call University Park defined our neighborhood.  Meeting the challenges 
UPHA neighbors
of living next to NCSU and the commercial district of Hillsborough Street, neighbors came together to form UPHA to speak with one voice to the City to protect the residential character of the neighborhoods.
