ACCEPTING MATCH DEADLINE TODAY!

If a family is unable to accept their match, send an email to UPK@jointinitiatives.org with the UPK number and child’s name so we can accept the match for them.


MATCHING TIMELINES

  • Last day to submit a seat change before the matching algorithm is run is noon on April 19. To request an increase or decrease in seats, contact Noreen at nglt@mac.com.
  • The matching algorithm will run on Monday, April 22nd.
  • Providers will review their proposed matches from April 23 thru May 7 and may decline, where applicable, during that time.
  • Matches not declined by the provider will go to families on May 8 for them to accept or decline.
  • Any provider that has concerns about a child who has been proposed as a match (such as special needs that the provider can’t meet) should reach out to Noreen at nglt@mac.com to discuss.


UPK QUALITY STANDARDS

The UPK Quality Standards have been finalized and can be found toward the bottom of the JI UPK page HERE.


CDEC E-COMMUNICATIONS The Colorado Department of Early Childhood is changing over to a new platform for their e-communications. Please sign up on the new platform HERE to continue to receive all of the UPK communications directly from the state.


GENERAL FAMILY REGISTRATION TIMELINES

  • April 20, 2024: Families who have registered and submitted an application by April 20, 2024, will be eligible for this initial round of matching.
  • July 2024: A second round of matching is scheduled for July 2024 for any families not registered by April 20, 2024, or for families who were not successfully matched during the initial round.

ROUNDTABLE

The JI/UPK team’s monthly Roundtable will be held on April 18th (11:00 am for school districts, 1:00 pm for centers and 6:00 pm for family child care). The agenda will consist of CDEC updates and updates for the 2024-25 UPK year. We highly recommend registering for the April session, visiting the UPK page, and/or watching past Roundtable recordings to seek answers to commonly asked questions.
