NEW PROVIDER PAYMENT SCHEDULE
CDEC sent out a NEW payment bulletin to providers on September 3rd – view the bulletin HERE. Essentially, this now states that providers will be paid on September 15 for the full month of August for all children who were enrolled status on August 30th EVEN IF YOU WERE ALREADY PAID FOR THE CHILD ON AUGUST 15. That means you will be paid twice for children who were enrolled prior to August 1. However, you will only receive a total of 10 payments per child so if you were paid twice for August, you likely will not receive a May payment at the end of May for that child. There is an example of how this will work on the JI UPK page, although the state has not confirmed exactly how the reconciliation will work. Please look at that example and we will discuss this further at our next Roundtable.
REMINDERS

TUITION MUST BE POSTED: All providers MUST post their tuition on their UPK profile, showing what families will be charged if they are eligible for 15 hours and if they are eligible for 30 hours. To post your tuition, please go to the Financial Programs section of your profile, and then to the text block entitled “Additional Payment Options.” This is a requirement of the Provider Agreement!

CHECK YOUR UPK PORTAL: Please check your UPK portal at least every other day to ensure that you have addressed any children who are in selected status with you. If you do not have seats available, please decline that family so they can make other choices. If you do have seats available, please reach out to the family to determine if they would like to tour with you. If the family is NOT interested in touring with you, please decline the family or ask them to do it. You may use the reason that you have no gen-ed seats.
SEPTEMBER ROUNDTABLE
The next Roundtable will be held on Thursday, September 26 at 6:00 pm and Friday, September 27 at 11:00 am. The content for each is the same. There is no need to pre-register. Join via Zoom HERE. QUALITY PRACTICES SELF-REPORTS
Due by September 15, 2024!
CDEC has contracted with Early Years Forward and Early Milestones Colorado to identify resources to support preschool providers in meeting the UPK Quality Standards. In order to better understand what practices providers are already implementing within these requirements, CDEC has created three forms that providers are invited to fill out. The information gathered will be used to build on existing strengths of preschool providers as the standards are introduced. An administrator, director, FCC educator or other UPK administration should complete each of the forms. The links to the self report forms are below. Thank you for completing these forms.
