UPTOWN FASHION WEEK RETURNS WITH KICKOFF PRESS CONFERENCE FEATURING TOP DESIGNER MICHAEL COSTELLO

The Uptown Fashion Week extravaganza kicks off this Wednesday, September 11^th, with an introductory press conference featuring Michael Costello and the amazing designers from around the world. The press conference will be hosted by Albania Rosario, executive director of Uptown Fashion Week, Council Member Ydanis Rodriguez, Explora NYC and the United Palace for the Cultural Arts. The press conference will announce the details of the Uptown Fashion Week, set to take place the following evening at the United Palace for the Cultural Arts, including the program, gala, reception, new collections and the ways in which the show will address the issue of domestic violence.

The press conference will be held at the Altus Caf� (184^th St. and Broadway). Each of the 13 designers will be introduced and will have an opportunity to discuss their work before it is unveiled the following evening. With the resounding success of the spring Uptown Fashion Week, the buzz has been considerably loud this time around, which has only been added to with the inclusion of top designer Michael Costello in the program.
