UTILITY BILLING

Autopay customers transitioning to paperless billing

To improve efficiency and reduce paper waste, the City of University Park will transition Autopay customers to paperless billing beginning April 1. Residents enrolled in Autopay will no longer receive a paper bill by mail. Instead, invoices will be delivered directly to the email address associated with your account.

There is no fee for paperless billing. Autopay customers will continue receiving the same email notifications they currently receive, and you can access up to 24 months of past invoices by logging into your online account at any time.

Residents who are not enrolled in Autopay will continue receiving their utility bills by mail as usual.

If you prefer to continue receiving a paper bill, please complete the paper billing request form by March 31. Otherwise, the transition to email delivery will automatically take effect on April 1.

We are pleased to offer this option, which provides convenient access to your invoice anytime, anywhere while helping reduce paper waste!

FIRE DEPARTMENT

Did you remember to check your smoke alarms?

Daylight saving time ended last weekend—did you take a moment to check the batteries in your smoke alarms when the clocks changed?

To help keep our community safe, the University Park Fire Department offers free smoke alarm testing and installation, especially for seniors and individuals with disabilities. If you need assistance, UPFD personnel can check your alarms and provide replacements if necessary.

To schedule an in-home visit, please contact the department’s administrative secretary at 214-987-5380.

FRIENDS OF UP PUBLIC LIBRARY

Meet Me at The Library Series: Kate Carté 3/31

The Friends is delighted to host Kate Carté, SMU Professor of History, who will present “The American Revolution, Religion, and National Unity.” Many Americans think of the American Revolution as a time of national unity, when the people were particularly united through their shared faith. But how effective really was religion at overcoming national divisions at that moment of political crisis?

The presentation will be held on Tuesday, March 31 in the UP Public Library 3rd Floor Community Room at 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be served at 6:30 p.m. The program is free and open to all but reservations are recommended.

This Meet Me at the Library Lecture is generously sponsored by Complete Landsculpture.

Meet Me at The Library Series: Jeffrey Engel 4/28

Join the Friends for an informative talk by Jeffrey Engel, the David Gergen Director at the Center for Presidential History at SMU. He will present ‘Seeking Monsters to Destroy: How America Goes to War,” a history of how American leaders have identified our foreign foes, and how their description alters the way Americans fight.

The presentation will be held on Tuesday, April 28 in the UP Public Library 3rd Floor Community Room at 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be served at 6:30 p.m. The program is free and open to all but reservations are recommended.
