Sometimes a friend who’s not involved with Field Team 6 will ask, “Is your organization taking it easy, since it’s an off year?” If you work with Field Team 6, there is only one correct response: laughter.

We take great pride in the fact that we are always cranking. Grinding. Joyfully kicking ass. Field Team 6 exists to register Democrats all year, every year. Because no one else is doing that, in target states and districts nationally, with the urgency the work demands. 

To be clear, it is crucial that individuals take time off for the self-care they need, and we always encourage that because we take care of each other. But from the bottom to the top, our 17,000+ volunteers nationwide, our 100+ Volunteer Staff, and our Round Table Volunteer Steering Committee all keep working year-round with urgency to form more partnerships, to recruit more volunteers, to spread awareness of the mission and the stakes, to raise the money to expand our reach, to register more Democrats.

We work with urgency because we fight for our own family members. When do we take a break from loving them? Never. And only when they have fair representation and full freedom will the work be done.

There’s 12 days until the Ohio Special Election, and if we can beat the Republican power grab now with over 50% of the votes, we can beat them in November and put abortion rights into the Ohio constitution. The time is now! So seize the day – sign up for an event! Urgency!

Activism is just talking to people. It turns out that's how you change the world! We'll have sessions that introduce you to how to do that, via in-person voter drives – phone banks – text banks – postcarding – social storming – and helping out behind the scenes, including with our sister org Blue Voter Guide!

BACK-TO-SCHOOL VOTER DRIVES ARE BAAAAACK!

College students will be heading back to school before you know it, so we're planning a SLEW of on-campus voter drives.

Why are we so excited? Gen Z is now officially the biggest generation, and a majority of them are now voting age. Plus, they care deeply about Democratic issues like abortion rights, gun safety, health care, climate rescue, and stopping Trump.

The best way to get 'em registered is by hitting their campuses. Think of these back-to-school events as the Burning Man of voter drives––it's wild and crazy fun channeling their college spirit. And best of all, we can rack up BIG numbers of new Democrats.

Get Out The Vote for the August 8 special election (and remind everyone to VOTE NO on Issue 1) as well as register new Democrats for November’s hugely consequential general election.

Thanks to the tireless work of activists who gathered over 710,000 petition signatures (nearly twice the 413,000 needed) a referendum to enshrine abortion rights in the state constitution will be on November’s ballot.

Did we say “hugely consequential?” [Checks notes.] Yes, we did!

Our partner Bake Back Better is holding a fundraiser for Field Team 6 partner, NEAZ (Northeast Arizona Native Democrats). We are very excited to be doing partisan voter registration on sovereign lands, and hope to build on this to work with other Native American organizations, too. 

Bake Back Better is looking for Los Angeles-based bakers and drivers to fulfill cupcake orders in the LA area for the NEAZ fundraiser. Donations means FT6 gets to do even more voter registration with NEAZ!
