NOTICE OF CHANGE: BOARD PLANNING MEETING IS WED. SEP. 23

Last month we agreed to put together an edu-tainment video-conference event that will bring in donations--like a telethon, for CALM.

The event should rival the annual fundraisers CALM has been known for since 2011. COVID 19 or no, we do not intend to disappoint!

I am asking every person reading this message (including partners, consultants and/or volunteers) to come with or email me (just hit reply) your own idea for a 5 to 10 minute sketch, inspirational oratory, mediation commercial, testimonial, music, dance, or poetry that we can turn into your show of shows! Also needed is technical assistance to ensure a trouble-free sign-on experience for an on-line audience and participants.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE RSVP AND SUBMIT THE HOMEWORK AS REQUESTED as soon as possible, BEFORE next Wednesday's meeting.

MINUTES OF AUG. 14 BOARD MEETING

Thank you for attending last month's board catch-up; Linda, Dey, Robert, and Zetta attended via ZOOM; Allison was unable to attend. The time we spent together was productive.

In addition to discussing the last quarter calendar and October fundraiser, we were able to clarify some crucial corporate roles including:

The Finance Committe consisting of Robert Windedahl, Chief Financial Officer; Dey Yusef, Treasurer; and CEO Linda Hughes as ad hoc committee member and bank co-signer. To date, there has been no meeting at Wescom for the new signers to replace Stephanie Farrington, now deceased, and Mark Marshall who moved out of the area 2 years ago.

Zetta Yusef agreed to lead the Youth Arts & Education component, and Robyn Arrington was offered the job of President or HR Manager/Volunteer Coordinator. (No one other than CALM founder Linda Hughes has occupied that position in the 10 year history of CALM.) Alison Carras was nominated to serve as Event Fundraising Chair. The job of Corporate Secretary remains unfilled at this time.

The next regular bi-monthly meeting is Wed. Sep. 16 at 7 PM on ZOOM. It was suggested that committee work or task groups meet during the off month when the board is not in session.

Respectfully submitted,
L A Hughes
