This beautiful kitten cat is looking for his forever home. He is an angel of a boy - sweet, mellow, gentle, quiet and craves affection. An ideal companion and good with other cats. It would be best if he is in a house with company at least most of the time - does not like to be alone for too long. He is fixed, and probably about 2 years old. Look at those big expressive eyes. He deserves a really great home. Email Brita Rose britarose@gmail.com to meet him.
APPLY TO ADOPTTemporary foster care (9 months-12 months) for Morkie, EliFROM HIS OWNER:

My name is Jordana and I am looking for more information on obtaining temporary foster care (9 months-12 months) for my Morkie, Eli. I haveowned Eli since he was just 11 weeks old and he is now 3 1/2. Please see attached pics!
Eli has always had separation anxiety problems, most of which manifest in persistent barking when crated or confined to a room. He is house trained, for the most part, but does mark on occasion. I moved to Brooklyn in October and am living with a roommate for the first time since owning Eli (after getting him as a puppy, I lived with my boyfriend for 2 years.) Eli's anxiety had only gotten worse since moving in. He barks for hours when I am at work and it is becoming a major problem for my upstairs neighbors. If I am not home when my roommate goes to sleep, Eli sometimes keeps her up at night crying and barking. I've tried Clomicalm, thunder shirts, spray collars, private dog training and private consults with vets. Nothing has worked. I thought about contacting the one behavioralist that works in NYC, but I am nervous about the high cost and whether one visit will really be enough.
I work 8-12 hour days 5 days a week. Not only is the anxiety a problem, but I also am being unfair to Eli, leaving him alone for this length of time each day. I do have a dogwalker who comes once a day, but I don't feel it is enough. I've looked into getting a pet sitter during the week, but that won't help me during nights/weekends if I want to leave Eli alone.
I would like Eli to be fostered for 9 months- 1 year, after which, I have the option of taking him back. My lease is up in October and At that point, I can find a studio and live by myself, which will make some of the living situation easier. I'm not sure if this is ever done, or is fostering is really only ever the first step to adoption. If the family was great, I'd consider letting him be adopted.
Please let me know what the next step is. Looking forward to learning more. Feel free to email or call me at 732.718.7798.

APPLY TO ADOPTVery Friendly Pepper: Hurricane Sandy Victim
A small-medium size schnauzerr mix. In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, there were hundreds of animals displaced across the five boroughs. Plenty of those adorable pets were rescued by various city agencies and reunited with their owners. But there are many families that have had to relinquish their pets as they struggle to hold their families together in family owns or FEMA motels.
He is extremely good with children and other pets. Seven years young. Neutered and up to shots.

After four years I have to give up my dog (4 years old, small, yellow, Chihuahua Terrier). Keeping him is just not fair to him - he need and deserves more attention than I can give him, in terms of consistent training, time spent with and on him and money (he is left alone 10+ hrs per day and I cannot afford a dog walker).
I realize most of his problems are my fault -- I babied him as a puppy and didn't socialize him when he was young. As a result, he is emotionally needy and not good around other dogs; I have, over the years, gone to four trainers for help. He is a smart dog; he's learned to sit, down, roll over, but he is not food motivated, so he is more difficult to train than other dogs I've had. He is also very anxious about bad weather, but over all he is a good dog. He just deserves a better owner than me.
He is loving, loyal and loves to sit on laps, play fetch and cuddle.
I'd like to give him to a motivated childless home asap but there are no hard deadlines.
Below is a bio and attached are some photos.
Thanks,
Anna Martin

Bio: "Puck is a small 4 year old Chihuahua Terrier mix who is looking for the right owner to be loyal to. He is very loving but has some problems with anxiety and protectiveness-- so he'd be best as the only dog in the home or part of a loving, patient pack with a strong, confident owner. He would probably be best for a home without children -- but he loves cats! He currently must wear a muzzle while on walks, because of his anxiety around other dogs, but he has never bitten anyone. He loves to Fetch and knows how to Sit and Down and Roll Over, as well as Chase his Tail. He is a bit on the nervous side, and medium-energy, so he's looking for a dedicated owner to round him out into a secure, loving companion dog."

TETOFROM HIS OWNER:

My daughter now crawls a lot and explores everything she can. Teto always did a good job staying away from her, but as she's started moving faster and more, she has surprised him from time to time which has caused his stress level to get super high and he's charged me or the other dogs on a daily basis, and he's charged my wife once as well. Twice he's charged and snapped at my daughter. We have always tried to keep my daughter away from him or told him to move to keep them away, but that can't always be done. Usually he seems to be protective of my daughter just like he's super protective of my wife. When I walk the other two dogs and he's alone with my wife and daughter, he's able to play with my wife and daughter. Before our daughter, he was not as stressed out as he is now and he had never charged my wife.
He is physically perfectly healthy and his vaccines are also updated.
Teto is a really good dog and very very smart. He remembers his house easily and everyday routines, but if something goes different, he sometimes panics. Everyone that has pet sitted him has said that he's a sweet boy and he shows a lot of love to everyone that pet sits him. He's not aggressive, but fearful. It's emotional just to write this email, especially for my wife and we ultimately want what's best for him. We really want him to just have a good life. But we see that his stress level is higher and higher. We want do what's best for him. We are hoping that maybe somebody like MIke and Dawn can offer him a better life than we can in our current situation.
I attached a few pictures to this email and I'll send another email with some more pictures.
Thank you,
