URGENT NOTICE

Whether or not you're part of the SOMA neighborhood, I hope you'll join us in supporting this petition...

We would love if you have the time to testify at the hearing.

Date: Wednesday, October 5th

Time: 5:30 pm

Where: City Hall - Room 400

Location: 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place, San Francisco

About the Petition:

This petition from residents, businesses, and community members urges San Francisco leaders to halt the proposed expansion of Southern Station’s boundaries until adequate staffing and resources are provided. Already 46 officers short, the station covers some of the city’s busiest and fastest-growing areas. Expanding it to include Market Street, 6th Street, and downtown BART stations would raise calls for service by about 25%. The petition calls for fair staffing, restored foot patrols, and real public safety investments instead of adding more of the city’s challenges to an already overburdened district.

Date: Saturday, November 8th

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in an interactive listening session that will help shape future episodes of the Everyday Climate Champions podcast, followed by a community Happy Hour. The event aims to inspire Bay Area residents to move from concern to meaningful climate action.
