Dear alumni,

In case you missed it, as stated in our first communication in June, MICA alumni Google accounts ending in @mica.edu will be retired on December 31st, 2021 due to changes in Google’s services to colleges and universities. Google announced that they are no longer providing unlimited storage for Colleges and Universities and imposing strict storage limits. If you actively use your mica.edu email account, please review the steps below.

Update your contact information with your non-MICA email address in order to maintain regular communication and stay in touch with MICA.

Next steps:
  • Transfer your data, files, emails from your MICA account to a separate account
  • View previous emails, FAQ page, and more resources here
  • Optional - create an automated response email to inform your contacts of your new email address. This will function until the end of December.

If you would like to sign up for an @alumni.mica.edu forwarding address, please sign up here. Please note, this is a forwarding address, not a full email account, you must provide a separate email address to have messages forwarded to. *This will not forward your mica.edu emails*

*Please note- this message is going to everyone regardless of having taken the steps above or signed up for forwarding. If you have taken the above steps, no further action is required*

Current MICA Staff / Faculty (full and part time)
Your MICA email and Google account will not be affected until you leave the college. Keep in mind if you leave MICA, your MICA email will be deactivated, so it is recommended to transfer all personal data and files from your MICA account.

If you have questions about this transition, please email me at [email protected] and I will happily answer any questions you may have.

Best,
Rita Meissner
