In a feeble attempt to bribe you with your own money, Trudeau has sent a couple hundred bucks to your bank account in what he calls a carbon tax rebate.
He’s hoping his little trick will make you forget that he’s raising the carbon tax again on April Fool’s Day.
It doesn’t matter that he resigned because…
a) he’s still in charge and
b) his replacements Freeland and Carney want to raise the tax even more.
Until today you didn’t have that carbon tax rebate, because you’ve already given it to Trudeau in some form of tax.
