An amendment will be introduced to ESHB 1914 in the Senate Ways & Means Committee on Wednesday, March 8 at 12:00 pm that would reduce the annual allocation of the Motion Picture Competitiveness Program to $15M a year (down from $20M.)

We urge all film industry supporters who live in the following districts to write and call their Senator and ask them to NOT adopt the amendments being considered in tomorrow’s committee meeting:

In writing and calling your Senator, tell them to keep the funding for the program at $20M a year and to not adopt the amendments being considered for ESHB 1914 in Wednesday's committee hearing.  Tell them that we need to keep the fund at $20M a year so we can attract bigger budget productions that provide year-round work for our cast and crews.

You can find the names, email addresses and phone numbers for all the members of the Senate Ways & Mean committee here.

Don’t know your district?  You can find it here.

With the last day of session on Thursday, we need to get this amendment killed in committee. Please call and write NOW. The committee hearing is Wednesday at noon and there is literally no time to waste!
