Grace Episcopal Church

Dear Grace Community,

I have important information to share with you this afternoon as we continue to assess the risk of COVID-19. We are committed to supporting the overall health and well-being of our community and our Diocese is working hard to support all of our parishes during this challenging time. Today, Bishop Susan Goff has decided that all Episcopal churches in our diocese will be closed for worship through March 25. At that time, the bishop will re-evaluate advice from health organizations as we determine how best to move forward.

In response to the Bishop’s directive, the following services and events are cancelled at Grace Church:

  • 9am and 11am services for the next two Sundays (March 15th and March 22nd)
  • Community Prayer Service and Family Game Night on Saturday, March 14th
  • Praying with Grace Election Prayer Service on Tuesday, March 17th
  • Open Mic Night on Saturday, March 21st

We will continue to have our Thursday Lenten Lunch Series but will not have communion during this gathering

For the next two Sundays, I will send out the bulletin for the week as well as my sermon. Even though we will miss being together, I hope that you will find ways to connect with Christ each week. Hold each other in prayer. Take time to read the scriptures and maybe even sing a hymn. We may not be gathering as a community but we will certainly be with one another in Spirit.

Above all, remember that God loves you and let us all love one another as we seek to care for each another in the weeks ahead.

As more information is available from the Diocese, I will be update you immediately. And, as always, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Grace and Peace,
