Letter from the President by Pilar Page

It should be easy, but...

Liberals hate Donald Trump so much that they're against anything he is for, even if most Americans agree with the President. That's why they're defending:

  • Open borders without vetting
  • Protecting worst-of-the-worst illegal aliens
  • Trans ideology/ gender transitioning for children
  • Men in women's sports
  • No voter ID, mail-in-ballots, let illegals vote
  • Return to global elitism, climate change scare tactics, etc.

Republicans clearly represent common sense, while Democrats advocate for uncommon nonsense. They're on the wrong side of every issue. If you watched the State of the Union address and how the Democrats' acted, you know what I'm talking about.

It should be easy to win, but... it's not. So much depends on who actually makes the effort to vote. Several special elections have proven the Dems are motivated, while President Trump's coalition risks falling into the complacency trap during the mid-terms. He will do everything he can to ensure that doesn't happen, and all of us at MRW will do OUR part to make sure our voters show up.

Start with the primary election on Tuesday. MAKE YOUR CALLS AND TEXTS (see urgent message below)! Get every Republican to the polls. Vote the best people IN so we can have a good run in November.

Winning is never easy - but we can help make it happen!

Pilar

PS: If you are new to the area and don't know where to vote on Election Day, you can find your voting site here.

Special note: In primary elections, MRW does not endorse among Republican candidates. However, we are not preempted from revealing what we know about certain candidates. If you did not see our NewsFlash of February 20 about Ray Daly, who is running for NC Senate, you can read it here.

We have since learned that Mr. Daly was removed from the Moore County Planning Board because "he made false and derogatory remarks about folks in the planning department," according to a commissioner who was there.

We thought you would want to know about this pattern of behavior when making your voting decisions.

URGENT NOTICE:
MRW members will be helping to call Moore County Republicans who have not yet voted to urge them to get out on Tuesday. If you can make a few calls, please
email Pilar Page asap. She will send you a list and some talking points!

From our Chaplain by Nancy Manley

We are entering the most holy season of both Christianity and Judaism in March and April: Passover and Easter. But there is another important Jewish celebration which Christians should celebrate along with their Jewish friends: Purim, which begins March 3rd. It is the true story of Queen Esther and how God used one young orphan girl to save His people from the evil plot of Haman to obliterate them.

How much more could God use a nation of people who will humble themselves, pray, turn from their wicked ways and seek His face to save their land?

We are in a battle for the heart and soul of this country. The evil "Hamans" of this world want to destroy us. We saw their "leaders"' at the State of the Union Address- people who refused to stand up and defend this country.

We are a nation founded on Godly principles. Our founders called us "the second Israel," and God put us here "For such a time as this!" (Esther 4:14)

Last chance to Get Out And Vote!

March 3 is Primary Election Day

Early voting has ended - now the rubber meets the road. Latest statistics show Democrats and left-leaning Independents are motivated. That means we need to get everyone out to vote for the conservative School Board candidates.

If you have not voted yet, do it on Tuesday. Encourage your Republican friends or neighbors to be good citizens and vote, too!

Stop at the GOP tents, located at each voting site, to pick up your GOP-endorsed sample ballot.

Melania!

The documentary movie, Melania, was a huge hit with a sold-out MRW crowd at the Sandhills movie theater on February 16. Nearly 80 members and associates filled the theater to celebrate our strong, courageous and purposeful First Lady. Afterwards, around 30 attendees reconvened at the Hickory Tavern for the fun to continue. We will definitely do events like this in the future!

Volunteers: The more, the merrier!

We had a great response to our call for volunteers at the last luncheon. Deborah Piazza, our volunteer chair, has contacted all who signed up. It's not too late! You can always volunteer by going to our website page HERE. Or just talk to any of our Board or Committee Chairs.

Whether you want to be involved in planning and organizing, or whether you just want to help out at specific events, you will be warmly welcomed!
