Subject: Voluntary closure

Attention Cannon Beach Business Owners,

The past several days have shown an unexpected number of visitors to the community.

The City Council will be taking some actions at 5:00 pm tonight to address the issue to degree that we are legally able to do so.

In the meantime the city is asking that the businesses that remain open today voluntarily close down immediately to dissuade the congregation of people that we are trying to avoid.

These are difficult times and we are trying to get a handle on the best courses of action to protect our residents.

Further direction will come from tonight’s meeting and we will let you know what is decided.

Thanks for your help.
