VOLUNTEER ALERT

Greetings!

🚨 URGENT CALL TO ACTION: VOLUNTEERS NEEDED 🚨

In moments like this, our community has always stepped up and supported one another. Due to a water main break in Waterbury, there is an immediate need for volunteers to help distribute drinking water to residents.

Ongoing Critical Need:

The response is especially seeking volunteers for Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.

To meet demand, we need 50+ volunteers per day to ensure this operation runs smoothly and our neighbors have access to safe drinking water.

This is a straightforward but essential role that makes a real difference. If you can give a few hours, please know your time will have immediate impact and be deeply appreciated.

The IMT is asking for the name and phone number of each volunteer, or for team lead(s) name and phone number. Please use the QR code below for volunteer check-in.

There are 115,000 people in the City without water due to the break.

The major need is for the two distribution sites operating Sunday-Tuesday (possibly Wednesday, (tbd) from 9am-5pm, with anticipated report between 8 to 8:30 am.

Location are:

1. Waterbury Municipal Stadium, 1200 Watertown Ave, Waterbury, CT. Volunteer staging is at the south parking lot;

2. Cosby High School, 300 Pierpont Rd, Waterbury, CT. Report to the tent.

Note that they are requesting the name and phone number for team leads, or the names and phone numbers for each volunteer.

Thank you for continuing the long-standing tradition of neighbors helping neighbors. Please share, and show up if you’re able. Together, we’ll get through this UNITED!
