Most work will take place during nighttime hours to minimize congestion. Please note that while some daytime work will also take place, this shouldn't impact traffic.
- This week's tasks include placing granular borrow material along eastbound shoulder between I-15 and Canyon Creek Parkway to create safer shoulders for both traffic and workers, especially in areas where curb has been removed.
- Crews are currently working in approximately 400-foot sections in the project area to help maintain and improve traffic flow.
- Nightly work Sunday through Thursday nights between 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Additionally, the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will be conducting maintenance work on US-6 near the convergence of US-89, closer to the mouth of Spanish Fork Canyon. This activity is expected to last approximately two weeks.
Traffic Impacts:
- All traffic lanes will temporarily shift to the north on US-6.
- The trail along US-6 is now closed for the duration of the project. Trail users may encounter other temporary closures of sidewalks in the area. Please follow the indicated detours for your safety. Accessibility under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) will be maintained.
- Business access will remain open.
