Prayer for protection

O God, my God! Shield Thy trusted servants from the evils of self and passion, protect them with the watchful eye of Thy loving-kindness from all rancor, hate and envy, shelter them in the impregnable stronghold of Thy care and, safe from the darts of doubtfulness, make them the manifestations of Thy glorious signs, illumine their faces with the effulgent rays shed from the Dayspring of Thy divine unity, gladden their hearts with the verses revealed from Thy holy kingdom, strengthen their loins by Thine all-swaying power that cometh from Thy realm of glory. Thou art the All-Bountiful, the Protector, the Almighty, the Gracious.
—'Abdu'l-Baha
Know thou that the soul of man is exalted above, and is independent of all infirmities of body or mind. That a sick person showeth signs of weakness is due to the hindrances that interpose themselves between his soul and his body, for the soul itself remaineth unaffected by any bodily ailments.

—'Abdu'l-Baha
Task force encourages communities to make accessibility a priority

Deaf and Hard of Hearing people have a great deal to contribute to Baha’i activities, and with a few accommodations can more readily take part in them to everyone’s benefit.

This is a message championed by the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Task Force for the Baha’i community. Appointed by the National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is of the United States, the national governing council, the task force has existed off and on since the 1980s. Today, it has four members—Naledi Raspberry, Tavoria Kellam, Jason Schwartz and Erin Salmon—who, with assistance from people like Austin Vaday, are working to educate Baha’i communities about how to improve accessibility.

Baha’i and his community learn together how to navigate hearing loss
My father served in the US Air Force in WWII, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War, so we moved a lot. Right after I was born in 1958, the family—Mom, Dad, and five kids (I was the youngest)—spent five years in England. We returned to the United States in 1963, which was a significant year in the development of the Baha’i Faith. It was the year the Universal House of Justice, the international governing council of the Faith, was formed. It was also the year the Rehling family was introduced to the Baha’i Faith.

Musical production provides racial healing venue for cast and audiences

Following a year marked by racial turmoil more pronounced than any since the Civil Rights Movements of the 1960s, the cast and crew of the musical Henry Box Brown gathered on the campus of Green Acre Baha’i School in Eliot, Maine, to seek healing from racism and to define themselves as protagonists in the struggle for racial justice.

Voyage of Love
A beautifully written account of 'Abdu'l-Baha's journey in North America in the early part of the twentieth century. For eight months, He traveled across the United States and into Canada, speaking about the Baha’i teachings. He covered more than five thousand miles and touched the hearts of everyone with whom He came in contact.

This special edition of Voyage of Love, published to commemorate the centenary of the passing of ‘Abdu’l-Baha, includes a new preface from author Amy Renshaw and a selection of discussion questions designed to help junior youth and readers of all ages reflect on ‘Abdu’l-Baha’s approach to the promotion of race unity and other topics.
