Just when we thought we were getting a grip around tariffs and trade war economics, came another bombshell from Donald Trump - a tariff of 130% on goods from China in retaliation for the latter ramping up export controls of rare earth minerals. China, of course, isn’t backing down even resulting in an $18 billion crypto sell-off. Now, brace yourself for more attacks, heated words and then…. Perhaps a rollback!

However, the Nobel committee made a safe choice and decided to award María Corina Machado, the Venezuelan opposition leader, despite Trump finally pulling off the Middle East peace plan. Global Village Returns: Find Out What’s New
Global Village’s 30th season kicks off this week following a record 10.5 million visitors last season. The opening features 600 drones, flame-lit wing-suited skydivers, and a spectacular fireworks show ending with a glowing ‘30’ in the sky. Yet Another Country Bans Social Media for Children
This time it is Denmark that has announced plans to ban social media use for children under 15, with parents allowed to grant access from age 13. The proposal follows growing global concern about youth mental health and online safety. Similar measures have been introduced in Australia, which last year banned under-16s from social media, and in France and Italy, where governments are tightening rules on smartphone use.
