State Chamber Update
As we wrap up the year, we are happy to share that the U.S., Mexico, Canada (USMCA) Act has passed the U.S. House this past Friday. This is great news for Delaware businesses and their employees who sell or have supply chain partners throughout North America. And, more good news from Washington, D.C.: The Senate voted last Thursday to approve funding that includes long-term reauthorization for the Export-Import Bank. The House passed the bill earlier last week and the President is expected to sign it. This means manufacturers, growers and other exporters will have the predictability and certainty they need as they enter the new year.

I also want to thank the Board of Directors, Board of Governors, members and staff of the State Chamber for another great year. We hosted the forum that led to the Ready in 6 initiative and a workforce development pilot program we are hopeful the General Assembly will act upon early next year. We are looking forward to our 183 rd Annual Dinner on January 6 and hope to see you there!

Happy Holidays and New Year to you, your colleagues and families!
This is a short week for economic news. On Monday new home sales figures for November will be released, and on Tuesday durable goods order data for November is public too. This Thursday brings us weekly jobless claims for the week ending on December 21.
