As we all know, the Travel and Tourism industry has been hit hard due to COVID-19 Pandemic. While there is possible a "light at the end of the tunnel" with many promising COVID-19 vaccines being tested, millions of travel and tourism professionals have either been furloughed or lost their job all together. Additionally, the federal unemployment supplement funding has ended and when its going to be renewed is unknown, and virus outbreaks continue effecting the economy and markets causing reopening plans throughout the United States to be in jeopardy.
In response, Anthony Melchiorri, an industry expert and hardworking hospitality consultant and television host, in association with Skål USA/ Skål New York/ Skål Long Island, has created the USA #HospitalityStrong online fundraiser campaign which seeks to promote a thriving hospitality industry with the goal of supporting the affected hospitality workforce through this unprecedented crisis. While we continue to ask for support through your generous donation, we are asking for your support, considering the profound impact that COVID-19, by reaching out to a fellow colleague or friend in the hospitality industry and let them know how USA #Hospitality Strong fund-raising efforts can assist them.
Many hard-working and passionate hospitality professionals were amongst the first and continue to adversely impacted by the crisis. They need our help to provide for themselves and their families as we want them to return to their positions when doors fully reopen.
