Managing Your Minor’s Profile:
  • Parents/guardians can edit personal information, print a membership card, or change a club affiliation on their athlete’s profile. To complete any of these tasks, access your My Profile page by logging into usagym.org with your username and password. Once on your parent profile, click your child’s name under "My Children" to access the child’s profile.
  • Please note that athlete levels can only be changed by a Member Club owner or administrator through their USAG Club Roster.

Minor Members Completing Education Courses: Minor members 14 and older have access to USA Gymnastics University to complete online educational courses. A minor member must log in with their own username and password, rather than their parent’s, to register for and complete education courses through USA Gymnastics. If a minor has not created a login to access their USA Gymnastics profile, they are able to do so using the following steps:
  • Go to usagym.org and click Member Login.
  • Select "Register Here."
  • Enter the minor's member number and new account information. This email must not be a shared email.
  • Follow the prompts to complete your profile registration.

If a member needs assistance to log in or register for a course, please contact the Member Services Department at 800.345.4719 or via email at [email protected]

TrueSport Talk on Mental Wellness and the Student-Athlete: Student-athletes face dual pressures to perform both in the classroom and on the field of play. As national statistics continue to unveil the scope of the youth mental health crisis, sport must own its part in the problem, evolve to champion meaningful change, and implement proactive solutions for the next generation. Join TrueSport and the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency on Wednesday, November 16 for a virtual event exploring mental wellness and the student-athlete.
SAFETY CHAMPION CORNER
Managing Bullying Guide: In recognition of National Bullying Prevention Month, USA Gymnastics created a Member Club Guide to Managing Bullying Between Athletes. We encourage parents to review the guide to better understand bullying and to learn how to work with your child's club to prevent it from occurring.

Combatting Cyberbullying: Teens are constantly tethered to technology, which means they are susceptible to victimization and can be drawn into a cyberbullying situation by simply sharing a negative text message or post online. Parents can take steps to minimize cyberbullying by talking with your child about prosocial behaviors to encourage positive interactions with their peers.

USA Gymnastics Safe Sport Policy: USA Gymnastics encourages all parents to review the Safe Sport Policy. This policy states that Member Clubs must permit parents and guardians access to practice and training sessions. For more information regarding Parental Access to Practice, please read page 19.
USA GYMNASTICS SAFE SPORT
USA Gymnastics Safe Sport Policy is the foundation for athlete safety and the prevention of abuse. The policy requires mandatory reporting, defines misconduct, and creates standards that set boundaries between Adult Participants and Minor Athletes. USA Gymnastics adult participants, event staff and volunteers are expected to know and follow all policies related to the safety and welfare of athletes.

USA Gymnastics encourages all parents to familiarize themselves with the Safe Sport Policy and the U.S. Center for SafeSport Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies (MAAPP). Understanding these policies will help parents know what to expect from their child’s coaches and club. This quick webinar on a “Parent’s Guide to Understanding USA Gymnastics Safe Sport” is a helpful overview.

Parent and Minor Athlete Training: The U.S. Center for SafeSport provides important training for parents and minor athletes. These age-appropriate courses and materials address the prevention and reporting of child abuse and include a “Parent’s Guide to Misconduct in Sport,” “SafeSport for Youth Athletes (ages 13-17),” and “SafeSport for Kids (ages 5-12).” Minor athletes must have parental consent to participate.

Education: Is Your Athlete Turning 18? All Adult (18+) Members must complete the U110: U.S. Center for SafeSport Core Course annually. This course is free to all individuals who are required to complete it and may be accessed hereSeventeen-year-old members are able to take the U110: U.S. Center for SafeSport Core Course with parent/guardian permission. View the steps to grant your child permission here.

Reporting: The safety and well-being of athletes is dependent upon all of us. Adult Participants have a duty to report misconduct or child abuse as defined by the USA Gymnastics Safe Sport Policy, including USAG Prevention Policies or the SafeSport Code for the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Movement and the U.S. Center for SafeSport Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies (MAAPP).

  • Report sexual misconduct or child abuse immediately to law enforcement and to the U.S. Center for SafeSport (the Center) and report other violations of the Code to the Center here or by calling 833.587.7233.
  • Report emotional misconduct, physical misconduct, or other violations of USAG's Safe Sport Policy or MAAPP Prevention Policies to USA Gymnastics here or by calling 833.844.7233.
  • If prohibited conduct has occurred at an Olympic or Paralympic Training Center (OPTC) or any third-party sponsored event in which the USOPC sends a delegation, promptly report to the USOPC Security & Athlete Safety Office here or by calling 719.866.3869.
