MARKET UPDATE

The air market is stable, with ample capacity and minimal delays for this time of the year. Jet fuel prices are trending downward, prompting some airlines to adjust their fuel surcharges accordingly.


Meanwhile, water levels in the Panama Canal are notably low, leading to a rise in vessel traffic and more vessels being rerouted via the Suez Canal. In 2024, carriers transiting the EU will pass along mandatory EU Emission Trading System fees of approximately USD 30/TEU to importers and exporters of ocean freight. Global schedule reliability remains unchanged at 64.4% from September to October.
