Just a quick note about Gourmet on the Green. We know many of you have expressed interest in this fine event, and as of right now there are only 2 boats left (6 confirmed, 2 reserved, 2 remaining).

The original email is below. Otherwise, enjoy your summer, get in touch with your legislators, and be on the lookout for more emails as we get closer to election time.

We are excited to announce a fundraising event this summer on the Green River, the first annual Gourmet on the Green! You may have fished the Green before, but we promise it's never been like this.

To support the Utah Stream Access Coalition,  and our continued fight for public rights on Utah's rivers and streams, the top Green River guides and outfitters, local chefs, and local businesses sympathetic to the fight for stream access have organized this limited-entry "gourmet float." We will float and fish the "A" section in the morning, throwing gourmet flies to rising trout during prime dry fly season. Lunch will be prepared riverside by Chef Katie Weinner (  and Top Chef Season 12). After lunch, we will get back in the drift boats and fish until the evening. We will finish off the evening with an after-party at Sweet Lorraine's Bed and Breakfast i n Dutch John, UT!

And it gets better - someone is going to go home with a custom bamboo fly rod donated by our friends over at Fall River Fly Rods!

This is a unique guided fishing and culinary experience  unlike you have ever had on the Green! All proceeds will be donated to USAC.

What: Guided float trip with gourmet lunch prepared by Chef Katie Weinner.
Where: Green River below Flaming Gorge
When: Saturday, June 4, 2016
Who: Top guides from the Green River's best outfitters.
Why: All proceeds to benefit USAC and the fight for public use of Utah's rivers and streams.
Cost: $1000 per boat (2 people). LIMIT OF 10 BOATS - only 2 boats left.

To reserve your spot, contact Ryan "Opie" Caggiano, [email protected] or go to

We're thrilled that our members (Opie and Katie, in particular) are hosting this event for USAC. We talk a lot about member involvement in these emails, and this is an outstanding example of members making a difference and contributing to the cause.

We hope to see you on the Green!
