USATF National 50K Trail Championship

Coming to Oregon!

The USATF National 50K Trail Championship will be held in conjunction with the Wy’east Trailfest event on August 15-16 at the Mt Hood Meadows ski resort on Mt. Hood. Daybreak Racing will host the national championship. The organization conducts the annual Wy'east Trailfest mountain trail series of races.

The event offers scenic point-to-point 50-mile and 50K (31.07 miles) races as well as 28K and 14K mountain loop races on Saturday. Sunday offers a trail half-marathon and 8K loop races. Daybreak Racing will award a $12,000 prize purse for the 50K podiums.

"The Daybreak team is honored to host the 50K Trail National Championships. Since 2018, Wy'east Trailfest is one of our oldest, largest and most scenic events. The point-to-point 50K course offers a significant challenge while also providing a national-caliber setting for the championships," Jeremy Long, Daybreak founder and race director, said.

The top three USATF female finishers and top three USATF male finishers will share in the $12,000 prize money.

"USATF Oregon is excited to support Daybreak Racing in hosting the National 50K Trail Championships this summer. Daybreak presents some of the best ultra trail races in Oregon and we hope to work with Daybreak on other USATF member opportunities," Mike Blackmore, USATF Oregon Mountain, Ultra, and Trail Committee Chair, commented.

Wy'east Trailfest is a celebration of mountain trail running featuring Mt. Hood’s illustrious alpine terrain. Wildly beautiful, dynamic, and challenging Mountain courses reach Oregon’s alpine rooftop at 8000 feet. Wy'east is the native ancestral name for Mt. Hood.
