USAging is seeking candidates for two new transportation positions, both positions will support USAging’s ongoing work on the National Aging and Disability Transportation Center and the Transit Planning for All Project. These full-time positions are based in Washington, DC, but remote work arrangements for qualified candidates outside the DC area will be considered.

The Transportation Training and Technical Assistance Specialist will support our work on transportation services for older adults and people with disabilities. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in human services/aging or transportation plus five years of relevant experience or a master’s degree with three years’ experience. Experience is preferred in transportation, preferably human services transportation or public transportation management and service delivery.

The Senior Research Associate, Transportation will draft and edit publications, analyze and summarize reports and data and conduct expert interviews on human services transportation, public transit, aging and disability programs and other key transportation stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of paid, professional writing and research experience, a bachelor’s degree plus five years’ experience or a master’s degree with three years’ experience with preference for credentials in English, journalism, communications or related fields.
