A team of engineers and public health experts from the University of South Florida is helping Toamasina, Madagascar, residents reduce their exposure to lead – a major global environmental pollutant that causes more than 1 million premature deaths each year.

Grant award shout-out

Dr. Christine McGuire-Wolfe partnered with the City of Port Richey Fire Department and received a $100k grant. The funds were used to secure a new mobile command unit/air truck and breathing apparatus from FEMA.
