Examining the intersection between blood-alcohol levels and impaired driving

As part of her thesis project, undergraduate student Amira Elfeel performed a literature review of articles and government resources assessing variables related to traffic accidents and alcohol consumption. She specifically looked at the antegrade and retrograde estimation of blood alcohol impairment.

Captain Matthew Dooris’ career in the Coast Guard shaped by public health

COPH alum Matthew Dooris grew up in a family that valued education and public health. When it came time to pursue a graduate degree in public health, Dooris, who was stationed at U.S. Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg, decided with his wife to stay close.

Esther Jean-Baptiste, MPH, is a research project manager at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Fla.

 

Charlotte Noble, PhD, MPH, is assistant dean for curriculum and academic services and an assistant professor in the Department of Population & Community Health at University of North Texas Health Science Center School of Public Health.
