Public health student finds a career in infection control

When Jennifer Davids graduated in 2019 with her bachelor’s degree in public health, she started work promoting a health screening program. Although she loved the people she was helping, she didn’t really feel fulfilled. What she wanted, she realized, was a boots-on-the-ground job in health care, fighting disease and infection.

Shabnam Mehra, PhD, MSPH, is the business intelligence and computer science department chair in the Associate in Science and Technical Programs at Hillsborough Community College, Ybor Campus in Tampa, Fla.

 

Amruta Mhashilkar, MD, PhD, MPH, MBA, is a group lead scientist at Catalent Pharma Solutions.

 

Danielle Rankin, PhD, MPH, CIC, is a health scientist with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
