POETRY FOR ALL
The Poetry Out Loud State Final brings together high school students to channel their favorite poets and recite their work.

In Florida, Poetry Out Loud is implemented in approximately 60 high schools and introduces a diversity of poetry and poets to thousands of students. Winners at the state level move to the national semifinals in May and the finals in June.

SHOWCASING SMART SOLUTIONS
Join the St. Pete Innovation District for its Smart City Showcase. The district and community partners have been conducting projects over the last three years to demonstrate how technology can help address issues such as sustainability, pedestrian and bicyclists’ safety and STEM education. This event will include a walking tour of the project locations, examples of how the data is being used for decision-making and a unique smart city model.

TAKE ME TO THE WATERS
Friends of Salt Creek present "Take Me to the Water(s)," a multimedia installation. The group advocates for the undervalued waterways located in south St. Petersburg. The show features the work of resident artists who participated in the Friends of Salt Creek Inc. open-air nature writing workshops. Exhibit is curated by artist Saudade Toxosi and features local poet Sabrina Dalla Valle and USF English professors Geveryl Robinson and Thomas Hallock.
