CUTR Awarded $7.5M to Establish New National University Transportation Center
USF’s Center for Urban Transportation Research received a $7.5M grant to establish a national university transportation center (UTC) aimed at advancing research and education programs that address the nation’s critical transportation challenges.

The Hillsborough County Commission in Tampa is putting $5.2M into the University of South Florida’s Institute of Applied Engineering in a bid to attract more technology players to the neighborhood and create high-tech jobs.

The American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) held its annual conference in Tampa, with the University of South Florida as the event’s co-host university.  
Honorable:  USF Gala to Honor Veterans
Dean Robert Bishop presented USF electrical engineering  senior Lance Landrum with the first-ever Veterans Support Fund for Engineers scholarship at the May 8, 2019 inaugural HONORABLE: USF Gala to Honor Veterans co-hosted by  the USF Office of Veteran Success.  Landrum is an Army veteran of the  101 st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Screaming Eagles. 
U.S. Representative Kathy Castor Visits Center for Urban Transportation Research
U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor visited CUTR to speak to researchers and students about their work in solving America’s most pressing transportation issues and to take a short tour of the center.
