AS A PROUD PARTNER OF WELLS FARGO WE ARE HAPPY TO SHARE: | |
The 2024 Wells Fargo Impact of Women-owned Businesses report revealed that women own 14 million businesses (representing 39.1% of all businesses), employ 12.2 million workers, and generate $2.7 trillion in revenue.
These businesses experienced dramatic growth from 2019-2023, yet women-owned businesses could make a greater impact if the gaps between women and men, were closed. The report brings new awareness to the historical differences in wealth, business experience, size of networks, industry specialization, and capital access-particularly among women of color-that impact women's ability to start and grow businesses.
The report explores the kinds of support that make a difference, such as the enhanced networks and support organizations like yours provide, to bridge the gaps that exist to further expand the impact these businesses have on the economy.
